Having recently moved to a rural area, I have been hired as a ELL paraprofessional (before moving, I taught preschool for 22 years). I thought that I would be taking direction from a teacher with experience in the area of ELL. It turns out, that in this small-town school, the paraprofessional is the TEACHER!! Where do I start? I am working with K-12 students on a 1:1 (or small group) pull-out basis. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated!!
